computer won't come on

Re: computer won't come on

Hi Charlie, I had a very similar problem to yours, i.e. pushing the ON button wouldn't always start the computer. Enquiring at a computer warehouse I was told it could be anything from a loose wire or a bad solder joint to a faulty Motherboard.(latter very expensive!) I eventually thought it could be the Power Supply Unit starting to fail and replaced it myself at a cost of approx. £16.00 GBP. Fortunately my guess was correct and all the problems were solved. My last PSU was installed about three years ago and was in use every day for most of the day so it had lasted very well. Hope this helps, Alan.
