not enough memory to run word2000 message

Re: not enough memory to run word2000 message

Hi Joe. I am using Win 98 SE and I have no trouble with Word. I do however suggest the following, On your desktop click on start -- then go up to programs - go up to Accessories -- click on System tools, then click on "disk cleanup" -- this will clean the gunk off your hard disk including temporary internet files. Follow the prompts, you will be surprised how much gunk there is on your hard disk. How much memory have you on your computer -- I suggest that 256 Mb is ideal, however you will get away with using only 128 Mb. If you have only 64 Mb of memory then you are really making it difficult for your computer. Additional memory does not cost very much to add and you can do it yourself with caution. If you are doing it yourself get back to me about it. Good luck Brian
